Gary William Roth of Sunfield, MI passed away on September 14, 2023.

Gary was born on April 27, 1944, to Harold and Evelyn (Yarnell) Roth.

On May 15, 2004, he married JoAnn McClelland of Sunfield, MI.

Gary graduated from Sunfield High School in 1962.  He attended Michigan State University and received an associate degree in agriculture.

Gary worked at General Motors/Oldsmobile for 35 years, retiring as Supervisor in 1999.

Gary was highly involved in the Mighty Minnies - Double M Riders 4-H club with his daughters.  Gary loved to hunt, play cards and cribbage (always for money), and was considered a master prankster.  His hobbies included keeping his yard looking super nice, watching Michigan State University sports, Detroit Lions and Tigers, and deer hunting.

Gary was preceded in death by both his parents.

Gary is survived by his wife JoAnn of 19 years and daughters Deb (Mitch Kline) Ostertag of Hubbardston, MI, Julie Roth of Sunfield, MI, and stepdaughter Deidra McClelland of Hastings, MI.  Gary is also survived by grandchildren Andy Winters, Nick Winters, Grace Roth Botsford, Aiden Roth Botsford, and great-granddaughter Lily Winters. He is survived by sister Carol (Don) Ray, brother Tom (Pat) Roth, the mother of his children Linda Bernard and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 25th from 4-7pm at United Brethren Church in Sunfield, MI.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 26th at 11am at United Brethren Church in Sunfield, MI, with graveside services held at Woodland Cemetery in Woodland, MI, with a luncheon following at United Brethren Church at 1pm

All arrangements are being handled by Rosier Funeral Home with visitation and services to be held at United Brethren Church in Sunfield, MI.
