My name is Helen Irene Count-Wayt.
Ann Ruth was my dad's cousin.
I met my dad's aunt Mabel when I was a child, but never had the honor of meeting Ann.
Still I consider you family. & I believe Ann is with great-aunt Mabel & great-uncle Floyd in Heaven.

With love, light, gratitude,
Helen Irene Count-Wayt
Mabel (Count) Nagel's eldest neice.

I am so saddened by Ann's passing. She and I went to school together from, I believe about seventh or eighth grade through high school. We weren't close friends but I do remember one time when we must have been twelve or thirteen when I think I went on the school bus to her house. She said she had some chores to do and began dusting the stairs to the second floor. I remember her saying that she loved doing housework and couldn't wait until she had her own house. I remember that she was smart and sometimes really funny.

We didn't see each other after graduation for many years. Then when I was working at Sears in Lansing a few years ago I ran into her and she was working for a company displaying jewelry. She would come in every so often for that job and we would always look for each other and have great chats. I became very fond of her and looked forward to our meetings. Knowing that she is gone, I feel a definite absence of her unique personality in the world.

I want to extend my sympathy and send my prayers for healing to all of Ann's family during this sad and difficult time. I know I will always remember her with great fondness.

Sincerely, with Love,
Naomi Sayer Shelton

Ann and I grew up as neighbors, schoolmates [in the Strange School, among the pictures} and in the Oneida Gospel Church which her parents pastored for many years. She was a gal of many talents, for sure - and definitely fu-loving! My heart and prayers go out to you in her passing; may you find comfort in knowing that she is at home with our Lord.
