Boneta Louise VanHouten Born April 8 1941 passed away at the age of 77 on March 24, 2019 following a lengthy illness. Bonnie married Roy Max VanHouten on October 24, 1959 and were married 50+ years until Roy passed away on September 16, 2010.
Bonnie was preceded in Death by her father Leo H Wilcox and her mother Norma Arlene Weeks Stepfathers Lawrence Miller and Bob Weeks Brothers Paul Morehouse and Donald Wilcox.
She is survived by Her brother Raymond Wilcox and her Sister-in-Laws
Ardath Wilcox and Leona Brooke. Bonnie is also survived by son Joseph R VanHouten Daughter Monica Lee VanHouten Daughter Heather Nelson Ododa (Sebastian) Daughter Neva VanHouten And Erica VanHouten.
Bonnie was blessed with many Grandchildren, great Grandchildren Sisters and Brother in laws as well as many nieces and nephews and step brothers and sisters.
Bonnie was instrumental in over 205 foster children’s lives throughout her lifetime and received an award in Eaton County for Feisty lady. Her love for Children was evident by a fierce determination to protect those children she was entrusted to care for.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sunfield Fire Department or to help offset funeral expenses to the family c/o Monica VanHouten.
Celebration of Life Services 11:00 AM Friday March 29, 2019 at Sunfield United Brethren Church, with Visitation 6-8 PM Thursday March 28, 2019 all at the Church.
