Martha Jean (Boyer) Swift

Martha passed away Wednesday December 21, 2016 at the age of 80 with family by her bedside. She was born on June 5, 1936 in Charlotte daughter of Lowell and A. Louise Boyer (Fuller).  In 1957 she married Burton P. Swift, they were married 37years prior to his death in 1994.

They moved from Nashville, MI in 1973 to Sunfield, MI where they raised a family and Martha continued to reside. Martha loved playing with her great grandchildren and being with family and friends. She enjoyed attending church, camping, playing bingo, and being involved with the community. She was a people person and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, and sister. Martha is survived by her two sons David (Lauri) Swift, Mark (Amy) Swift; five grandchildren , Jamie (Lucas) Demaray of Sunfield, Bobbi Jo swift of Eaton Rapids, Kevin Swift of Los Angeles, Nathan Swift of Clarksville, Scott Swift of Fort Drum New York; and four Great Grandchildren Mikala Robinson, Cassandra Robinson, Nora Demaray, Lucas Demaray II.  Also survived by her three sisters Mary Hall, Wilma Hogel, Donna Thayer and her Brother Joe Boyer.  Funeral services 11:00 am Wednesday Dec. 28, 2016 at the Sunfield United Methodist Church.  Visitation with viewing 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday Dec. 27, 2016 also at the Church.  For those wishing, contributions may be made to Sunfield United Methodist Church, Lions Club, or the Sunfield Area Sponsors of Programs for Youth, aka S.P.Y.’s.  The family is being served by the Independent Family Owned Funeral Home in Sunfield: Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, Michigan.
