Maxine Wanda (Newberry) Teller

Maxine W. Teller, 88, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2018,

Maxine was born November 27, 1929 in Lansing Michigan.  She and Lawrence (Larry) were married on December 31, 1947 and celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on December 31, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.

Maxine loved to knit!! She created some of the most beautiful knitted afghan blankets which she gifted to her family.  She also knitted countless “dish rags” that she said were just “something to keep me busy.” 

More than anything Maxine loved her family and nothing made her happier than having her family over for the holidays, Sunday dinners or just stopping in for a visit and coffee.

Maxine loved her grandchildren: Jennifer (Steve) Sherman, Angie (Steve) Eaton, Chrissy (Bronson Flegler) Thelen, Heather (Joe) Wortley, Alyson (Brian) Catlett, Gillian (Justin) Gregory and Tessa (Jake Woods) Sharp.  Her grandchildren meant the world to her.  She was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. 

Maxine is survived by her loving husband, Larry, her son Fredrick (Rick) Teller and daughter Laura (Steve) Sharp.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Grace Newberry and her oldest son, William Teller.

Visitation with viewing 5-8 PM Wednesday July 18, 2018 at the Sunfield United Methodist Church.  Funeral Services 11 AM Thursday July 19, 2018 also at the Church.
