Monieta Esther (Hines) England

Monieta Esther England of Sunfield passed away Friday November 23, 2018 surrounded by loving friends and family.  Monieta was born November 1, 1920 to Gladys (Hines) Gregg and William B. Hines in Vilas, Colorado. Monieta married husband Forest England in Colorado and moved to Sunfield in 1950.  Preceding Monieta in death are husband Forest England as well as parents Gladys (Cayton) Gregg, William B. Hines, step-father Pat Gregg and brothers Jim, Joe, Roy, Bud (Vernon) and Junior Hines. She is also preceded by sons Gerald, Bernhard, Kenneth (Joyce) and Delmer England. Surviving are sons Farrell (Delores) and Wesley (Gini) England, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dear family friends.

Faith was important to Monieta and she attended the Sunfield Methodist Church for 58 years. Monieta enjoyed playing baseball as a 1st baseman as well as an active social life. Later in life she became part of the Red Hats of Sunfield.  Monieta also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, bingo, reading and collecting Bells and Butterflies.  Monieta was loved by everyone she met and many in Sunfield called her Grandma.  She had a great sense of humor and showed love to all she met.

Visitation/Viewing will be held 5-8 pm Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Sunfield United Brethren Church.  Funeral Services 11:00 am – Wednesday November 28, 2018 with Pastor Danny Stoneham, and Pastor Heather Nolen officiating, all at the Church.
