Also known as Little White Fawn/Mom Crandall/and Grandma Ginny.  Virginia passed away Saturday Oct. 8, 2016 in Lansing, MI at the age of 67.  She was born Feb. 4, 1949 in Newberry, MI: daughter of Fingel  and Phyllis Geraldine (Aten) Hummelgard.  Virginia had a number of talents and contributed her time and skills in many different areas.  She had a skill at putting people at ease.  She donated her time to Meals on Wheels.  She loved to bowl with her girlfriends.  She was a cub scout leader.  She knew shorthand, played the guitar, crocheted gifts for friends, baby showers and the elderly. She sewed her daughter’s clothes, and made matching outfits for her dolls. She loved music.  She was a dancer for Grand Funk Railroad and took a Mother Daughter Ballet Class.   She painted, embroidered, and was very crafty and artistic.  She even painted "Bambi and Thumper on Ice" on the wall of her daughter’s bedroom.   Virginia was fascinated with other cultures, and had a chance to visit the Mayan Ruins. She loved to read and study Theology.  She loved to attend parties. Pool parties/super bowl parties, anything with people and friends. She could cook up a storm and was great at it.  Befriended every cat, dog, racoon, skunk, and deer in the neighborhood, and adopted everyone’s kids as her own.  She loved Angels, but hated licorice.  Virginia was preceded in death by both her parents.  Surviving are her Husband, Theodore Crandall, 2 children, Shawn Crandall of Sunfield, and Andrew Crandall of Fenwick.  A tribute service honoring her life will be held 11:00 AM – Thursday Oct. 13, 2016 at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, MI with Pastor Randy Carpenter of the Sunfield United Brethren Church officiating.  Contributions may be made in memory of Virginia to one of the many Veterans organizations, or the Humane Society.  Please feel free to visit our web page made especially for Virginia L.
