Albert Daniel Hawkins

Albert Daniel Hawkins, age 80, of Sunfield, passed away peacefully after a brief courageous battle with cancer on November 19, 2021.

Al was born on June 20, 1941 in Mason, the son of Ford C Hawkins and Pauline Grimm. Al liked to travel, fish, check out antique tractors and being outdoors. In his later years, he would often drive around the neighborhood alongside his dog, checking in on his friends. He would always have a smile on his face and tell everyone he met to have a good day.

Al worked several different jobs over the years, anywhere from Florida to Michigan. He built silos when he worked in Lake Odessa. He also hauled newly built trailers. Al enjoyed farming and spent many years helping at the Cortright Farm and Cunningham Family Farm.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carole; daughter Tina.

He is survived by his brothers, Charles; Ron; Dick; children, Leslie Hawkins; Bonnie Leppard; Matthew Hawkins.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Barry County Animal Shelter in Al’s name would be appreciated.

Funeral arraignments have been entrusted to Rosier Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. viewing at the East Sebewa Cemetery located on Bippley road, Sunfield, Michigan.
