Barbara Jean (Newlin) Darling

Barbara Jean Darling, age 87, of Fowler, MI (formerly Sunfield, MI) passed away on March 31, 2021.

Barbara was born on June 6, 1933 to Charles and Ruth (Piner) Newlin. She married her one true love Wellman R. Darling Sr. on February 25th, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2001; after 51 years of marriage.

Barbara worked for Lake Odessa Machine Products, Hanna's Meat Market and Carl's Supermarket (Sunfield) and was well known in the Sunfield area for her wedding and birthday cakes. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, crocheting and needle work.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Wellman Jr., son Benjamin, daughter Barbara (Rich) Todd. Barbara is survived by her son Charles (Karen) Darling of Sunfield, MI, daughter Susan Darling of Fowler, MI; eighteen grandchildren, multiple great and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside visitation will be on Monday, April 5th, 2021 at West Sebewa Cemetery from 10am to 11am. Funeral service will follow the visitation. Interment will be at West Sebewa Cemetery. Please practice COVID guidelines and practice social distancing.
