Carol Sue (Thulen) Barker

Carol Sue (Thulen) Barker, 87 of Sunfield, Michigan passed peacefully from natural causes at home on July 20, 2022. Carol was born in Flint to Lionel and Gladys Thulen. She married Jack Barker in 1954. Carol was an accomplished seamstress, avid gardener, and lover of all animals especially cats. She worked early on as a school bus driver and later retired from the DNR fisheries division. Carol is survived by son Steven, daughter Susan (David) Rizor, and son Kevin (Tonya) Barker. Grand Children, Heather Barker (Cody), Rachel Barker (Anthony). Grand children: Scott Barker (Lindsey), Crystal Benner (Justin), Sean Barker (Erin), David Barker. Great Grandchildren: Logan and Connor Barker. Sister Brenda Hudson and many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Jack, parents, Lionel and Gladys, brother Wendell, sisters Ida Maxine and June, special friend Tom, and daughter-in-law Donna. In accordance with her wishes, cremation and interment will be private. Special thanks go to Sparrow Hospice and Rosier Funeral Home. Donations to Lansing Sparrow Hospice or a local cat rescue should be made In lieu of flowers.
