Charel L. VanDeventer, 61, of Ionia, MI passed away Sunday March 20, 2016. Charel was born August 3, 1954 in Lansing, MI  to Raymond and Leta (Eastman) Thompson. She grew up in Sunfield, MI. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family. Surviving is her husband, John VanDeventer, her children, Melony Allerding, Daniel Allerding, and Sheena VanDeventer, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, her mother, Leta (Eastman) Thompson, three sisters, one brother, and several nieces and nephews. Charel was proceeded in death by her father, Raymond Thompson, and brother, Michael Thompson. Funeral Services will held 1:00 PM - Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, Michigan with Pastor Danny Stoneham officiating.  There will be Visitation with Viewing on Monday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home.  The family is being served by the Independent Family Owned Funeral Home in Sunfield: Rosier Funeral Home.  Contributions may be made to place a marker on the grave at Sunfield Cemetery for Charel L.
