In Loving Memory
Irene Viola Siewert
1929 – 2023
Irene Viola (Iszler) Siewert was born in Danzig, ND on November 7, 1929, and passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on August 15, 2023, in her home surrounded by family.
Her core values were faith, family, and friendship mixed in with a good dose of fun. Throughout her life she enjoyed country living filled with sewing, crafts, quilting, baking, gardening, and bird watching. She loved her kind and helpful neighbors dearly, and even during her last days she could be found in her kitchen baking cookies to share with others. She also kept busy doing jigsaw puzzles, sudoku puzzles, and word searches as well as playing cards and traveling with family and friends. If she had the chance to attend live performances or other events, she did not hesitate to be included, especially when her grandchildren and great grandchildren were involved.
She quickly made friends wherever she went and the more mischievous they were, the better. Certainly, her mischievous and adventurous spirit, along with her strong will and determination to do whatever she set out to do, contributed to her long and full life. Her laughter, zest for life, and huge heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her, for to know her was to love her.
She is survived by her five children Ronald Siewert, Julie (Albert) Zarka, Lorna Boes, Clyde Siewert, and Joyce (Dennis) Simon, thirteen grandchildren Monica Siewert, Marc Matthews, Amie (Adam) Bockelman, Anthony Siewert, Ashley Siewert, Amanda Schillinger, Angie Zarka, Robert Boes, Andy (Sara) Boes, Beth (Matt) Purdy, Michelle Simon (Joe), Justin (Rachael) Simon, Matthew (Shannon) Simon, nineteen great grandchildren Alleyna Bockelman, Chasetin Ramsey Caudill, Bradley Beard, Logan Siewert, Hannah Schillinger, Hazel Schillinger, Samuel Schillinger, Lindsey Zarka, Lily Zarka, Alexis Boes, Lucas Boes, Laurin Boes, Meredith Boes, Ava Purdy, Elle Purdy, Natalie Simon, Paige Simon, Elliot Simon, Quinn Simon and three great great grandchildren Angelinn Pelegrino, Angelo Pellegrino, and Caroline Field.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Pauline (Strobel) Iszler, brothers Alvin Iszler and LeRoy Iszler, grandson Scott Siewert and granddaughter Tasha Siewert.
