Jill Ann Barner of Sunfield, MI, passed away on August 5, 2021 at the age of 74. She was born on November 04, 1946 in Lansing, Michigan to Leona (Ward) Meyers and Howard E. Meyers. She was married to Ivan D. Barner who proceeded her in death on December 22, 2005. Jill graduated from Lake Odessa high school and attended Lansing Community College. She was a Journeyman Pipefitter at General Motors and retired with 34 years of service in 2009. Jill’s children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and love for God were her passion. Her gift and calling in life, was to give and care for others in any way she could. She took every opportunity she could to contribute to her community and actively participated in Sebewa Township meetings on monthly basis. Anyone that knew Jill, called her friend.
Jill was proceeded in death by her parents, husband of 39 years and sister Patricia. She is survived by her son Jonathan Barner of Sunfield, MI, daughter Tammy (Quentin) Blocker of Lansing, MI, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Service 11:00 AM Tuesday August 24th at the Sunfield United Brethren Church with Pastor Phillip McKinnney officiating. Visitation 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday August 23 also at the Church. A luncheon will be served directly after the Celebration of Life Service in the Fellowship hall at the Church. Graveside services at East Sebewa Cemetery immediately following the Luncheon.
On our way to the cemetery, we will go down Sunfield Hwy., driving by Jill’s Farm and beeping our horn, as her friends and family often did. Then we will turn on Bippley Rd. and continue to the cemetery.

*In leu of flowers the family is accepting donations to a scholarship fund for Jills great grandchildren.
