Joan Lois (Holton) Hurlbut

Joan Lois Hurlbut of Sunfield passed away November 22, 2019 surrounded by her family. Joan was born June 11, 1941 to Ina (Barnum) Holton and Melvin Holton Sr in Sunfield Michigan.  Preceding Joan in death are parents Ina and Melvin Holton and brothers Melvin Jr. And Lynn Holton. She is also preceded by granddaughter Cassandra Kransz. Surviving are her children Michael Hurlbut, Teresa (Steve) Kransz, Denise (Randy) Matson and Rick (Christina) Hurlbut, sisters, Eleanor Baillif, Christine VanDeventer, and Joyce England, and brother, Neil Holton, eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  Joan was a graduate of Sunfield High School and raised her family in the area.  Faith was important to Joan and she was a longtime member of The Sunfield United Brethren Church. Joan also enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family as well as taking care of those around her. Joan spent the last years of her life in Eaton County Rehabilitation Services where she enjoyed painting and crafting.Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 AM – Tuesday Nov. 26, 2019 at the Sunfield United Brethren Church.
