Leona Wahneta Brooke, age 88 of Sunfield, Michigan passed away peacefully September 16, 2020.  Leona was born February 24, 1932 to Nelson Carl Eastman and Lottie Bell (Holton) Eastman.  Leona married her first husband, Paul Emery Morehouse in 1950 and they shared two children.  Leona married Merlin J. Brooke in 1968 and they blended his daughters into their family and enjoyed 51 years of marriage. 

Leona was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and her only fault was never learning to say “no.” 

Leona was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Morehouse and Merlin Brooke, and her parents Nelson and Lottie Eastman.  She is survived by her sisters, Leta (late Ray) Thompson, May (late Fred) Apsey, Jeanette (Fred) Dubois and Lyle (Doris) Eastman, son, Paul (Jeff) Morehouse (Tammy), and daughters, Vickie Thorp (Don), Vicki Black (Paul), Sandy Brown (late Joseph), Michelle Quinn (Brian), Cindy Brooke, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and her dog, Beanie, who was a faithful and loyal companion.
