Mr. Monroe passed away Tuesday Nov. 24, 2015 at his daughters residence in Eaton Rapids, MI at the age of 76.  He was born April 20, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MI. The son of Lyle Douglas and Mary Helen (Stevens) Monroe.  Sargent Monroe Lyle D. was in Regiment 2nd ITR Camp Pendleton, CA United States Marine Corps from July 1956 to Nov. 23, 1969.  He retired from Meijer warehouse as a hi low Driver.  Lyle was preceded in death by both his parents, wife, Shirley Monroe,  Dean Monroe and Monty Bowman. Surviving are his children, Cathy (Mark) Kirkey, Cindy (Andy) Auge, Bruce Bowman, Sharlene Monroe, grandchildren, John Ladisky Jr., Sonja Milligan, Beth Wells, Keith Auge, Tara Seachrist, Robert Vaugh, and many great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM - Tuesday Dec. 1, 2015 at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, Michigan with a full military service tribute to follow at the Meadowbrook Cemetery, Mulliken, MI.. There will be visitation with viewing on Monday Nov. 30, 2015 from 4-8 PM  at the Funeral Home.  Contributions may be made to the Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte, MI in memory of Duane.  The family is being served by the Independent Family Owned Funeral Home in Sunfield: Rosier Funeral Home.
