Nancy was born on May 15, 1938. She lived a life centered on caring for others both in her work and in her faith. She was first and foremost a wonderful and caring mother; she worked as a nursing aide at a medical care facility, where she was known for her kindness, compassion, and dedication to those she served. Nancy had a love for reading, which was shown throughout 10 years of service as the librarian at Lyons Township Library.

Nancy had a deep love for music and found joy in all forms of it – whether listening, playing instruments, or singing. Her faith was in important part of her life, and she cherished attending church and serving God.

Nancy was married to the love of her life Don Maki for almost a quarter of a century. They fell in love over worship music and playing instruments while serving on the worship team at New Life Assembly of God where they later got married.

Nancy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her caring heart, and the love she shared with her family and those around her.
