Neil Franklin Garvie, 75, passed away peacefully the morning of March 30th in his family's home in Orland, Indiana. Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, Neil was guardian and a provider for many. Making the necessary sacrifices to ensure his family's success was one of his major priorities. A man of intellect and generosity foreshadowed his family's sense of security. Neil attended Laingsburg High School prior to his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. Having acquired more education courtesy of the United States, Neil went on to become a computer technician, followed by his managerial duties at a local trading post and pizza parlor. Neil loved hunting, fishing, playing guitar, flying aircraft and brain-teasers. His sought-after sarcasm and satire were often centered around puns and politics. Ultimately, fostering others smile, happiness and laughter.
Neil is survived by his wife Jessica Garvie, his children Christopher Trowbridge, Alexis Garvie, Austin Garvie, Johnathon Garvie, Candace Garvie Wallace and daughter in-law Julia Garvie. His grandchildren Wesley Romine, Joshua Romine Jr., Jayden Garvie, Addison Garvie, Nichelle Kemmer, Charles Mclouth, Kelli Garvie Palmer, Kaylin Garvie Janiczek, Taneil Garvie Detzler, Aries Garvie Wallace, and Sharita Garvie Wallace. His brothers and sisters, Johnny and Scott Garvie. Sheala Monroy, Tina Mosurak, Karen and Kelly Garvie. Lastly, his beloved stepmother, Marie Garvie. Predeceased by his brothers Bobby, Lonnie, Jimmy, and Ricky Garvie. By his sister Tonna Grubb and his parents, Eugene(John) and Nancy Garvie.
Rosier Funeral Home will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Neil at the United Brethren Church on Monday, April 7, 2025. 8436 W Grand Ledge Hwy Sunfield, MI 48890. The doors will open at 10 AM for the viewing, followed by a service at 11 AM. The burial will take place at the Sunfield Cemetery shortly thereafter, then proceeded by military funeral honors and a luncheon. The Garvie family would like to express their gratitude and utmost appreciation to the Rosier funeral home for their empathy and professionalism during this difficult time. Providing guidance and direction with affirmation to concur with, making sure everything's copacetic.
