Mr. McDiarmid passed away Monday January 22, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI at the age of 58.  He was born May 10, 1959 in Charlotte, MI, son of Dean and Colleen Mary (Matson) McDiarmid.  During Ray’s life, he had many occupations, he was a Roofer, Meat Cutter, and worked at SII in Sunfield for many years.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting, ice fishing, camping, anything outdoors, and most of all he loved his family.  Ray was preceded in death by both his parents.  Surviving are his son, Travis McDiarmid of Sunfield, life partner, Twilla Tittle of Grand Ledge, brothers and sisters, Sharon Gidner of Charlotte, Cathy (Ron) Wilson of Nashville, Jerry (Sherry) McDiarmid of Eagle, David (Linda) McDiarmid of Sunfield, Don (Julie) McDiarmid of Grand Ledge, Nancy (Jim) Downing of Portland, and Tim McDiarmid of Gillette, WY, many nieces and nephews.  The family is planning a private tribute gathering.  Contributions may be made in Ray’s memory to Cancer Research,  C/O RFH PO Box 36 Sunfield, MI  48890.  Please visit a special memorial page made especially for Ray, to light a candle in his memory, or leave a condolence. www.RosierFuneralHome.com  The family has entrusted the Independent Family Owned Funeral Home in Sunfield to handle all of their wishes: Rosier Burial & Cremation Services.
