Rich Droste was released from our earthly bounds on Friday August twenty at his home in Sunfield, Michigan after extended illness. Rich was well known by drag and oval racers alike as a custom cylinder-head builder and trackside tuner. He was currently employed by Supercar Specialties in Portland, having learned his trade at Village Machine and Roger’s engine shop in Lansing. Rich was known as ‘the guru’ of all things Ford and for the budget-builds that could complete with expensive off-the-rack race parts. Rich leaves many gear-head friends and six siblings to remember his mechanical help with cars and motorcycles. Thank you, Rich.
