Shirley Jean Mast

Shirley Jean (Reed) Mast went to be with the Lord on Aug 16th 2021. She was born on January 14th 1933 to William Reed and Myrtle (Carr) Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Vivian (Reed) Shepard, brother in-law Lloyd Shepard and brother Gary Dean Reed.
Shirley retired from the Lakewood public school system where she worked in the superintendent’s office. She also helped on the family farm on Ionia Road in Sunfield for over 40 years.
She was an active member of the Sunfield UB church for more than 60 years.
Her greatest love was supporting her children and grandchildren by attending as many of their events, ball games, concerts, and activities that she possibly could.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Donald Mast; children, Gary (Cindy) Mast, Sue (John) Insco and Jerry Mast. Her grandchildren Kelly (Tim) Bordeaux and Casey (Kit) Mast. 5 great grandchildren, Addi, Levi and Micah Bordeaux, Rhett and Ryker Mast. She also was a loving Grandmother to bonus granddaughter Emily Taylor.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Sunfield UB church to support their Missions efforts.
Funeral Services 11:00 AM – Wednesday August 25, 2021 at the Sunfield United Brethren Church. Visitation 6:00 – 8:00 PM – Tuesday August 24, 2021 all at the Church. A Luncheon will follow the Funeral Services at the Church. Graveside Services 2:30 PM immediately following the luncheon at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.
